Classroom Timer

Countdown, stopwatch, and station rotation — with digits the back row can read.

05:00

One timer for every part of class

A visible timer changes the temperature of a room. Give students a clock they can see and "you have a few minutes" becomes a concrete, self-managed sprint. This free classroom timer lives on your projector and does the three timing jobs a teacher actually needs, with digits big enough to read from the last seat in the room.

Three modes

Built to be trusted on the board

The timer runs off the real clock rather than an animation frame counter, so it stays accurate even if you switch tabs to pull up a slide — glance back and the correct time is right there. Turn on fullscreen for a clean, distraction-free clock that fills the projector, and mute the chime any time with the sound toggle. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere; it's part of Class Zone alongside the scoreboard and the name picker.

Frequently asked questions

Does the timer chime when it's up?

Yes. When a countdown hits zero it plays a gentle synthesized chime and flashes the screen so the whole room notices, even from across it. You can mute the sound with the sound toggle.

Can it run station rotations?

Yes. Rotation mode counts down a set interval, chimes, then automatically restarts for the next station and tracks which round you're on — hands-free centers without you watching the clock.

How big are the digits?

Huge on purpose. The digits scale with your screen so a student in the back row can read the time, and fullscreen mode fills the whole projector with just the clock.

Does it keep timing if I switch tabs?

Yes. The timer is based on the real clock, not a frame counter, so switching tabs or dimming the board won't drift it — it shows the correct time the moment you look back.
